One Week Left in CCM: So excited to go to Paraguay!

Ooops. So I totally forgot the printed letter you gave me at the house and I'm already here so sorry about that :(.

And wow. That's a lot of people. How many Young Men do they have passing the sacrament?? Hahaha.

Yup I got all the music so that's good. Thanks so much for that. I got the package of food and Dr. Pepper and thanks a ton for that again :). I also just got a package from Luke today. It was just a note telling me good luck and he sent one of the ties he wore on his mission. It's super fat and kind of ugly, but I'll try to wear it once some day hahahaha. I thought it was so nice of him to send me something and I'll email him right after this.

Wow, I can't believe Isaiah is actually doing it. Tell him good luck and to have a good time :)

I am PRAYING that those pictures come either tomorrow or Friday. I believe the post office here is closed on Saturday and (obviously) Sunday. We just got a little bit of our departure information today. We are leaving the CCM at 6:00 AM on Monday. So I'm assuming the flight is somewhere around 11:00 AM. That's about all that we know right now. We have a meeting today in about 2 hours and I think we'll get more information then, but I can't tell you then hahaha. I have no IDEA how this stupid call card thing works. I'll obviously try my best to call you but I've heard that if you call from Mexico without a call card or whatever, it can cost a few hundred dollars or something. But if I were to call you it would probably be somewhere from like 7:30 - 10:30, and that's just a rough estimate. I'm assuming I would just call your cell 360 - 708 - 2068??

I still think it's funny how you're STILL worrying about me eating even though I'm in the CCM lol. I'll have you know that I have gained 2 pounds since I've been here and eat plenty every day. The food is all mediocre but it's all edible.

Ok, now I'll talk about my boring week a little haha.

YES! I'm FINALLY almost done here. We have classes tomorrow and Friday and then we have General Conference Saturday and Sunday. I guess those 2 days are like full day activities for General Conference, so we don't really have any class which is nice. And then the following day we immediately leave bright and early. They called Elder Frost to be the travel advisor for the group of people going to Paraguay. Of course since I'm his companion, I kind of end up having to do it too haha. Today everyone had to pack up everything and weigh their bags and we had to make sure none of them were overweight and if they were, that they have a way for paying the fee. Of course since I packed fairly lightly when I left, my bags are still light :). I'm SO excited to leave. Spanish is gonna be rough, but I'm sure I'll be fine. We found out yesterday that we'll have our first companion for 12 weeks guaranteed. So I'll be spending my first Christmas with my first companion. Let's hope he'll be cool! It's hard to know if I'd prefer a Latino or American companion. If I had a Latino companion, my Spanish would get better super fast, but I would also want to die because it would be hard for me to communicate with him. And if I had an American companion, I would be able to be friends with him because he'll know English, but my Spanish probably wouldn't develop as quickly. Either way I'm sure it'll be fine :).

But yeah, not a ton happend this week. We're all very eager to leave for Paraguay. We're all also very excited to do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING on the plane hahahaha. But yeah, I'll definitely try my best to call you at the airport but please don't be disappointed if I'm not able to. I love you so much, thank you so much for everything. BYE!!!

Week 5 - FINAL WEEK AT THE CCM LET'S GOOOOOO

The time has finally come guys. My time here at the CCM has been a great experience and I've learned a ton since I've been here and have also made a ton of friends. But hoooollllyyy wooooww am I ready to leave. I feel like I've been here forever. We leave the CCM this Monday at 6 AM so this will be my last email from the CCM! I'm so excited to get out to Paraguay. My Spanish still sucks, but I'm confident with help from the Lord, I'll be able to understand it more.

As usual, not a ton happened this week. Everyone in my district including me are just eagerly waiting to leave. We have classes tomorrow and Friday, and then after that we have General Conference, so we're basically done in 2 days. I'm sure it will be a crazy long flight and I'm not sure how many people are gonna be on it (Who in the heck flies to Paraguay??) but I'm beyond excited.

I forgot to get pictures with all of the Latinos in my district so I'll make sure to send those next week. I don't have too much else to say in this email. Hopefully this will change in Paraguay haha. Hope you all have a great week :).

I thought I forgot my Taylor Swift tie, but low and behold! I found it at the bottom of my carry-on bag! Also I got a haircut right after this picture, so rip my hair :(

So when you're on your 6th week at the CCM they give you a colorful sticker to go on your nametag. I feel like a boss flexing on everyone. B)

Hey Mom! Hahaha I'm so happy my picture with the cat is popular. I thought it was super funny when we took it. We were teaching a menos activo member and he had these little cats jump up on us during the lesson. So we have 'interviews' with President every transfer to make sure everythings good, and we had ours this week and President told me that I'm almost for sure going somewhere this transfer. He didn't know where yet but just told me I was leaving. I personally think it would be super fun to go somewhere super far away like in Zone 9 or something. The farthest area away is called Campo Nueva and I kinda wanna go there haha. But I don't have a huge preference. Also MOM. On my last transfer I am FOR SURE gonna try to make everyone feel trunky!!! Falam Portugues?

Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy everrryybbooddyyy!!!! Voces falam portugues? Está bem! Eu tambem nao. Mas vou seguir aprendendo kkkkkkkkkkk.      So we had transfers and I'm back here with my boy Elder Rodrigues and we're just having a grand ol' time here in the Floresta. I remember my first week here I had to adjust quite a bit. In Villarrica the people are super nice, but here they're a little more frío. So Elder Rodrigues kinda had to go through that same adjustment. But I think he's doing pretty good now.      I'm pretty glad that Elder Rodrigues is here with me. Last transfer my companion didn't drink any soda and only ate out once a week, but now we're back to eating out every day except Sunday and drinking soda for personal study in the morning, so life is good. I honestly have NO idea how I have not gained weight since I've been here. I checked my weight actually a few weeks ago, and I'm still sitting at the same 160 pounds of skin and bone tha...

The Prophet Was Right!

What the heck happened guys??? Last week was super chill, but then all of a sudden BAM I feel like we're in an apocalypse or something. IN JUST ONE WEEK! WHAT THE HECK?      So I'd first like to state that the majority of people here in Paraguay hear about the news about something and that's the ONLY thing they talk about. So if something happens, pretty much EVERYONE tells us about it. Members, non members, everyone. So we'd been aware of the Corona Virus for quite some time. But really I didn't think it was a big deal haha. Then on tuesday night we get this message from our president saying, "Due to the Corona Virus, there will be no church meetings of any kind for 2 weeks. No sacrament meeting. No district councils. NADA." WHATTTT yYOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MEE?? HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A MISSIONARY WITHOUT A CHURCH???
