HEAT!

What's up Mom,

This week has been HOT. I never really know the temperature because it's all in Celcius, but it's felt like 95-100 all week and with crazy humidity. It didn't rain ONE day this week. I know. Ridiculous. But this week has been good. I feel like I'm at a point where I can understand almost everything people say if I focus really hard. But if they start speaking any Guarani, I can't understand anything hahaha.

Margarita is doing great! She's only 14 years old so we need a signature from one of her parents and we've been waiting all week for her mom to be home because she never is and SHE WAS HOME YESTERDAY. So she's all set to be baptized this Saturday. All that is left is the interview with the District Leader, but I'm sure she'll pass that just fine. There's always a chance she doesn't, but I have a lot of faith she will, so I'm excited for Saturday.

Oh my goodness, that day with Elder Sapp was crazy. I definitely gained a stronger testimony of the Spirit that day because usually I can barely understand what people are saying, but that day I could literally understand everything everyone said and we actually taught lessons, which I was not expecting hahaha. RIght now I can still barely understand what people are saying again haha.

Don't know a Kaylee Peterson no.

ISAIAH MADE IT TO 5K FINALLY HAHAHAHAHAH. That's freaking hilarious. I'm proud of him lol. OH. Can you get his email for me? I need to ask him a question. We had lunch with this one family on Wednesday and they had a PS4 and a Nintendo Switch and it made me super sad hahaha. Red Dead Redemption 2 came out and they were playing it and it was hard for me hahaha. I'm also SUPER missing basketball. The only sport anyone watches here is soccer and its BOOORRIINNGG.

A bunch of my frriends still in high school are in Hairspray so I'm hoping you enjoy it haha. I get emails from them all week telling me how much rehearsals suck.

That's all I have to say I guess haha. Hope you have a great week, love you tons.

Elder Erichsen
Hey guys!

This week has been extremely hot. It didn't rain one day and it's been 85 or more degrees every day. Yesterday was probably aroud 95 with a ton of humidity of course. I've never drunk so much water in my life lol. Most families don't have air conditioning(at least in their living room) so we don't really get a break from the heat either haha.

We've had a lot of success with our investigator Margarita this week. Her baptism is scheduled for this Saturday. All she has to do left is pass the interview and we're gucci. I'm suuuuuper excited.

I had a companionship exchange with Elder Sapp this week and wow was that a day. I don't know why our district leader put us together because neither of us know Spanish and we're still super new in the mission, but he did haha. It was actually really cool though. Him and I were able to actually understand almost everything everyone was saying, and we were able to teach some good lessons. It was awesome.

Nothing else toooo crazy happend this week. We're gonna try and get a bunch of new investigators this week because a lot of the ones we have right now aren't progressing, so we've been visiting them less frequently. So that means a lot of walking in the heat this next week haha.

Here's some more fun and random things about Paraguay, enjoy.

- Driving here is freaking CRAZY. You know how usually in neighborhoods there's usually a speed limit of like 25mph? Yeah, that exists here but literally no one follows it lol. There's no lanes and everyone drives ridiculously fast. You'll just be walking down a heavily populated street and a motorcycle with vroom by going literally 70mph haha. I love it.
- I'm sure this is a fact for most of South America in general, but soccer is POPULAR here. Literally everyone watches it and it's on every TV everywhere. I know basketball season just started and I'm a little bummed I can't watch the Jazz right now haha.

I'm suuuuuuuuper dumb and totally accidently deleted literally every picture on my camera, so I only have 2 pictures this week, so sorry about that....

That's all I got for this week. I hope all of you have a fantastic week. Be thankful for the cold haha. Love ya'll.

Heaven help this kid's English, deteriorating right before my eyes. You'd think he was learning Spanish or something.
