Hey Mom!
Hahaha I'm so happy my picture with the cat is popular. I thought it was super funny when we took it. We were teaching a menos activo member and he had these little cats jump up on us during the lesson.
So we have 'interviews' with President every transfer to make sure everythings good, and we had ours this week and President told me that I'm almost for sure going somewhere this transfer. He didn't know where yet but just told me I was leaving. I personally think it would be super fun to go somewhere super far away like in Zone 9 or something. The farthest area away is called Campo Nueva and I kinda wanna go there haha. But I don't have a huge preference.
Also MOM. On my last transfer I am FOR SURE gonna try to make everyone feel trunky!!! That's the funnest part of leaving!!

1. No she didn't. We had a really good lesson with her a few days ago with a few members and it was awesome. She's still trying to read and pray to know if the church is true and she didn't want to commit to go to church yesterday. But we did our part, so there's not a ton more we could do... But I think she wants to go next week. (Response to my question about their investigator, Graciela.)
2. Most people do like contruction or security or electricity. Then some people have little shops that are usually a part of their house. Most people live in the places they sell stuff haha. In the city most people don't grow things, they get them imported from places. (Response to my question about what types of work people do in Paraguay.)
3. No we definitely still haven't bought gas hahahaha. We eat out like every night or we have members sometimes give us dinner. We usually eat Asaditos and lomitos, their amazing. (Response to my question about cooking and food.)
4. NOpe, he did not know a lick before the mission. We both know it good enough now though but we definitely speak pure English to each other

. (Response to my question about whether Elder Gutierrez knew Spanish before the mission.)
5. Obviously I like 2 hour church more

. It's the best! ALso most people who come to church just wanted to stay for 1st hour, but now t hat it's only 2 hours, their more obligated to stay for just one hour more if that makes sense. Most of the companionships serve for 1 ward or branch. Sometimes there's 2 companionships for one ward or branch. (Response to my question about the new 2-hour church schedule.)
6. It's like 20 minutes walking. It sucks when it's hot. (Response to my question about how far the church building is from their house.)
7. February 12th I'll most likely be going to a new area. I'll know February 11th so I'll tell you then. (Response to my question about when transfers are.)
8. OF course! There's childeren everywhere! Right now they're on summer break, but they start school soon. They all have to wear uniforms for school haha. (Response to my question about kids in Paraguay.)
9. I am now VERY close with most of the members now. I'm gonna miss almost all of them a ton, especially the ones we have lunches with. Family Martinez and Family Alvarez are my favorites. Familia Martinez is like a 28ish year old couple that are planning on having kids soon and we have lunch with them every Saturday, and Family Alvarez are a 50ish year old couple who had 3 kids and they all live in the US now they also do our laundry. I'm gonna miss em like crazy...(Response to my question about the families he's gotten to know in the ward.)
10. Everything still works great Mom

. I will tell you if it doesn't. (Response to my question about if he needs anything. I guess he doesn't.)
I LOVE the Ven Seguidme program (Come Follow Me??). President told us to study it for 30 minutes every Sunday and I love learning about the New Testament. It also helps a lot when we're talking to all the freaking Catholics here. Literally EVERYONE is Catholic here mom, and that church is crazy!!!!
We have a really good progressing invtestigara se llama Mabel and she's awesome. I'm gonna write more about her in the group email, so I guess read that haha.
I loved the pictures as always. I LOVE Eli's hair hahaha. I'm happy the Jazz are doing good. But thanks so much mom for everything. Hope everyone there has a good week!! Love you!!
Hey everyone,
So this week was pretty good. It was SUPER freaking hot. I'm talking like 105 degrees hot. One time we were walking to this dude's house who was like 15 minutes away and we had to take 2 breaks in the shade to get there. Haku. But it's all good. I'm still alive, so....
We found this one girl a few weeks ago. Her name is Mabel and she's AWESOME guys. Our first visit we taught most of the Restoration and she loved it. We followed up the next visit with the Book of Mormon and invited her to read and pray about it. And guess what? SHE ACTUALLY DID IT!!! She told us after she prayed she felt a feeling of comfort and peace in her heart. We testified that it was the Holy Ghost telling her that this church is true and that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it was awesome and super spiritual. We then read 2 Nephi 31 (this scripture is all about the 5 things Jesus taught - Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Gift of the Holy Ghost, and Endure to the End, I'd HIGHLY recommend reading it) and she loved it. Now this all sounds TOO GOOD to be true. But it really happened!

. Mabel is awesome and she loves to listen to us, but her DAD on the other hand, is CRAZY. He's the most CATHOLIC guy I have ever met in my life. He says he's read the Bible 100 times and NOBODY knows it better than him. It's actually pretty funny. He always calls our church the 'Moroni Church' and everytime we try to explain that that doesn't exist he gets really angry. I could talk about this guy for literally hours, but long story short, he's crazy and I don't like talking to him

. So we tried to invite her to baptism, but her dad would not let us. But the next day we stopped by her house and found out she was leaving to go talk to her friends, WHO WE FOUND OUT WERE ACTIVE MEMBERS WHO JUST MOVED INTO OUR BRANCH. I knew at this time the Heavenly Father was preparing this girl to learn about the gospel and enter into the covenant of baptism. We had an awesome lesson with all of them and invited her to be baptized in about 4 weeks and she accepted.
Most of the people we teach are really lazy and don't wanna go to church, but Mabel is definitely different. The only thing that sucks is that I'm probably leaving this area in 2 weeks so I won't get to be here for the baptism, but oh well.
But that's been the most exciting part of the week. ME and Elder Gutierrez are getting along super well. He thinks his girlfriend is gonna Dear John him this week or the next, so we'll see what happens. But all is good out here in Paraguay!!
HOpe you all have a bomb week!
