New Companion!

Whatsup my corbatas!
Hope you all had a fanTASTIC New Years. We had party until 10 30 with some members. That's right. You heard me. We had permission to be up until TEN THIRTY. It was pretty nuts.
It has literally rained EVERY SINGLE DAY this week. And not even like light rain. I mean like RAIN RAIN. When it rains, legit like no one wants to talk to us and no one wants to go to church. Church started like 20 minutes late yesterday and there was like 20 people there. But we have found some new people to teach this week so that's good. Right now we have an investigara (Graciela) and she's trying to receive an answer if she should get baptized or not by reading the Book of Mormon. We're following up on that tomorrow and I think she'll say yes and we can baptize her later this month.
Having Elder Gutierrez as my companion is sooooo different for so many reasons. First of all, I basically have to plan all of our days because he obviously doesn't know the area. So I have a ton of responsibility every day. And then second. Guys. HE KNOWS ENGLISH. I forgot how much I love English ๐Ÿ˜‚. So it's been good. He grew up in California and has lived in Utah for the past 2 years. He got baptized 2 years ago and he's just super awesome. Super capo.
Sometimes when we're tracting and finding people I think it's so funny. Like one time we clapped at this dude's house and he comes out and is like ¨You guys are Mormons right?¨ And of course we explain how we're missionaries of the Church of Jesus Christ. And then he's just like ¨The principles you teach are super weird. Why don't you drink alcohol?? The Bible teaches us to drink it! It's good for blood!¨ It was super whacky ๐Ÿ˜‚. He didn't want to listen about nothing from us. I also think it's funny when people think they know more about our religion than us. Like one time we contacted this dude and he was like ¨Why do you believe that Joseph Smith is a God?¨ And we tried to explain that we don't and he's just like ¨No no no, you DEFINITELY do¨, like bro. We're literally representatives of our church ๐Ÿ˜‚ Good stuff.
But yeah, that's all I got for this week. Maybe I'll have more fun stories next week as well as some baptism dates. Hope you all have a bomb week. Love ya'll.

Hey Mom!
So this week has been suuuuuuuper different. It's super weird having a new companion because now I have to plan all of our days and basically do everything because he obviously doesn't know the area. It kinda stresses me out sometimes but it's all good haha. Elder Gutierrez is freaking awesome. He's from California, but lived in Utah the past 2 years. He got baptized when he was 16 and he's super dope.
So the last time we visited Graciela we invited her to baptism (again) and she said she still needed time to read the Book of Mormon and receive an answer about that. We're following up on that tomorrow, but she also committed to going to church on Sunday! So that's good. Junior is still super lame and won't go to church. He committed to going yesterday with his Dad, but I think because of the rain he didn't go.
It's rained like CRAZY this week. I think it's rained every single day. It's been super hard to find new people and teach because literally no one wants to talk to us when it's pouring outside. Church didn't start until 9 20 yesterday and there were about 20 people there. We had to prepare the sacrament as well as bless it. It was just like I was in young men's again! ๐Ÿ˜‚.
Ok so HUGE favor. Actually 2 favors. If you ever can, can you send me pictures? I always love seeing pictures haha. I also save them on a flashdrive and other Elders always want to see them haha. Even if it's just of Waffles or something. Also usually when you send me pictures, they don't send. Dad sent me a picture one time and it send just fine, so maybe ask him for help?? Also, can you write a summary of your conversion story to the church? I kinda forget it sometimes and everyone always wants to know how you and dad were baptized? And oh wait, actually 3 favors. Can you also find out where the name Erichsen comes from? Everyone always asks that. THANKS.
But that's all I got for today. Thanks so much mom, love you so much!!!
