A Week of Success!

Hey guys!

Don't have a ton of time to write, but WOW was this week awesome! We had so much success! One of our standard mission goals is to find 20 new people to teach every week and I've NEVER hit that goal....until this week. We found 20 new people to teach! It was awesome! We really tried talking to literally EVERYONE we see and we've found a TON of cool people. 

Also, this past week we've been going to Ezequiel's Dad's house every day to try to find him. Ezequiel is the 12 year old who has all of the lessons and we just need his dad's signature to be baptized. We've been putting him in ALL of our prayers every day to find him and have him sign the baptism form. We always went at 11am because Ezequiel said he was usually home then, but that didn't work like 4 times, so we thought we would try to visit him later. We went to his house at 1:30pm and we caught him RIGHT when he was leaving. We politely asked him if he was Ezequiel´s dad and he said yes but he had NO time to every talk to us (everyone always says they're busy), but we politely said we just need a signature for your son's baptism and HE SIGNED IT!!!!! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Al fin Obrero will have a baptism! So Ezequiel is gettin baptized this Saturday which is AWESOME! When we told him his dad signed the baptism form he FREEAAAKKEDDD out. He was so excited. It's just so awesome seeing people come closer to Christ. We had the bishop announce the baptism the following Sunday and everyone was so excited and I think there will be good attendance there. So yeah, God answers prayers.

But other than that, it's been suuuuuuper hot lately and really hard to work, but we're still hanging in there, waiting for the cold season to come in. 

Another quick story: We were contacting people and we found this girl named Tatiana. She said she was busy (as everyone says) but we could come back the following day at 5pm. So we came back (not really expecting her to be home), and SHE WAS HOME AND READY TO LISTEN ABOUT THE RESTORATION AND SAID SHE WAS WAITING FOR US. It was awesome. We gave her a BoM and invited her to read Moroni 10:3-5 to see if the book is true. She invited us over the next day, but sadly she wasn't home. But we left a note with our number saying to text/call us to set another date....and guess what? SHE TEXTED US AND ASKED US COME OVER TOMORROW (TUESDAY). So yeah, pretty excited for that. It's very rare that we teach people more than once hahaha.

Hey Mom! Hahaha I'm so happy my picture with the cat is popular. I thought it was super funny when we took it. We were teaching a menos activo member and he had these little cats jump up on us during the lesson. So we have 'interviews' with President every transfer to make sure everythings good, and we had ours this week and President told me that I'm almost for sure going somewhere this transfer. He didn't know where yet but just told me I was leaving. I personally think it would be super fun to go somewhere super far away like in Zone 9 or something. The farthest area away is called Campo Nueva and I kinda wanna go there haha. But I don't have a huge preference. Also MOM. On my last transfer I am FOR SURE gonna try to make everyone feel trunky!!! Falam Portugues?

Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy everrryybbooddyyy!!!! Voces falam portugues? Está bem! Eu tambem nao. Mas vou seguir aprendendo kkkkkkkkkkk.      So we had transfers and I'm back here with my boy Elder Rodrigues and we're just having a grand ol' time here in the Floresta. I remember my first week here I had to adjust quite a bit. In Villarrica the people are super nice, but here they're a little more frío. So Elder Rodrigues kinda had to go through that same adjustment. But I think he's doing pretty good now.      I'm pretty glad that Elder Rodrigues is here with me. Last transfer my companion didn't drink any soda and only ate out once a week, but now we're back to eating out every day except Sunday and drinking soda for personal study in the morning, so life is good. I honestly have NO idea how I have not gained weight since I've been here. I checked my weight actually a few weeks ago, and I'm still sitting at the same 160 pounds of skin and bone tha...

The Prophet Was Right!

What the heck happened guys??? Last week was super chill, but then all of a sudden BAM I feel like we're in an apocalypse or something. IN JUST ONE WEEK! WHAT THE HECK?      So I'd first like to state that the majority of people here in Paraguay hear about the news about something and that's the ONLY thing they talk about. So if something happens, pretty much EVERYONE tells us about it. Members, non members, everyone. So we'd been aware of the Corona Virus for quite some time. But really I didn't think it was a big deal haha. Then on tuesday night we get this message from our president saying, "Due to the Corona Virus, there will be no church meetings of any kind for 2 weeks. No sacrament meeting. No district councils. NADA." WHATTTT yYOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MEE?? HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A MISSIONARY WITHOUT A CHURCH???
