Una semana de exito

Hey everyone,

     This week was AWESOME. We had a ton of success. So basically the opposite of the past 6 weeks in this area. Me and Elder Gomes used the list of members in the area a bunch last transfer to find some inactive families and had legit like no success finding anybody. But just 2 days ago me and Elder Quinde found this family on the member list and visited them. We went to their super fancy house and clapped at their door and their son (who's a member) went and opened the door for us and invited us inside. It was super weird because usually nobody wants to talk to us haha. But we went in and found out this family of 5 hasn't been to church in 8 years and that they were actually thinking about coming back just the other day. How awesome is it that me and my companion were guided by the Spirit to visit their house? The mom and one of her sons went to church yesterday and we're going back to visit them on Saturday. 

     There's this older lady in our branch (about 88) and we visited her on Saturday and we found out she has an inactive grandson who hasn't been to church in like 10 years and he just told us how thankful he was for our visit and he wants us to come back another day and teach his wife who isn't a member. Him and his whole family went to church yesterday-

     Then, this other inactive family that me and Elder Gomes talked to a ton WENT TO CHURCH YESTERDAY. We visited them like every week and they never committed to come, but THEY ALL WENT YESTERDAY. We're visiting them today at 8 to find friends of theirs who aren't baptized.

     And FINALLY, we found a GOLDEN FAMILY yesterday. All of our plans fell through (as they do on Sunday and pretty much every day)and we were out contacting houses. Usually we just contact houses with open doors because that usually signifies that people are home, but I felt like clapping at this one closed door house. We were greeted by an enthusiastic 35ish year old woman and we asked if we could help were with anything. She excitingly told us, "Yes! Come on in!" (This is a rough english translation.) We went into her house and found she has a family of 3. One son who is 12, a daughter who is 13, and another who is 17. We asked where the father was and she said just a couple houses down doing something (I forgpt) and we asked if we could invite him to come over, and he did! We taught all of them the whole Restoration and they all committed to read the Book of Mormon and pray about it, and the 17 year old daughter committed to go to one of the General Conference sessions next week. They say they're busy all throughout the week except Sundays, but we're planning to visit them next Sunday and invite them all to baptism.

      So yes, at last I've had a really good week here in Obrero. I've really have just been patient these last 6 weeks and FINALLY something is happening. 

      But next week is General Conference and I invite you all to watch at LEAST 1 session. I'm SUPER excited. Not only do we get to listen to the living prophet on Earth, but we also don't have to do like ANYTHING on Saturday or Sunday . It's gonna be great. The only thing that sucks is that I have to watch it in SPANISH. But oh well...

     But that's my invitation to you all! Watch general conference! I promise if you do, you will feel the spirit and receive an answer to ANY quiestion in your life. "Y por el poder del Espíritu Santo, podréis conocer las verdad de todas las cosas" -Moroni 10:5. I hope you all have a bomb week!
