"I used the crocs!"

Yoooooooooooooooo, you saw that first picture! We baptized!  Wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! !       We FINALLY got his dad's permission to get baptized after many days of praying with faith. So normally you're supposed to have the permission signed and everything ready a week before the baptism, but we were suuuuper pushing it this week. They committed to get his dad's permission last Sunday and have everything ready on Tuesday and we went to visit them on Tuesday and guess what happened? They didn't have it. I guess Roberto's dad is super lame and really didn't wanna give him permission because he thinks he's cool or something. So we prayed for Roberto and his dad sooo much this week, always hoping that Roberto's dad's corazon would be touched. We went to visit them last Thursday, having so much faith that they would say they have a picture with his signature, and to our despair ...

"Bombastic" week!

This week was pretty bombTASTIC if I do say so myself. Summer is FINALLY over here and it's been a lot cooler lately. Like legit my sweater hasn't even been enough a couple days. I guess it's supposed to get suuuuuper cold this week so I guess we'll see if I get hypothermia or not.      Elder Santana is flappin AWESOME. I've been learning so much from him these last 2 weeks. My last transfer was so hard because my companion never wanted to give me opportunites to teach, but now with Elder Santana we're just out here slayin it. I still feel like my spanish is super más o menos, BUT, I think I can speak well enough to get our message across.      As of right now(and I don't wanna jynx it), we have a baptism this coming Saturday. Elder Santana and his old companion Elder Deere have been teaching this 13 year old boy Roberto and he's just awesome. We haven't been able to visit them these last 2 weeks because his uncle has been in the hospital, but w...

Paso de Oro

Yoooooooooo what is UP guysssssssssssssssssssssssssss sssssssssssss.      We are here in Paso de Oro and it-s CRAZY here. It-s waaaaaaay different than my 2 older areas. My other 2 areas were on the outskirts of the area but this area is a little further away. There-s such a little amount of things in our area that we don-t even live in it. And get this, our CHURCH isn-t even in our area. We share a church with a nearby area called Kennedy. We also share the house with the Elders there, so it-s pretty cool. Just imagine a forest. Now imagine about 40ish active members of the church and that-s Paso de Oro. It-s awesome.      My comp-s name is Elder Santana and he-s super cool. He-s from San Pablo Brazil and he-s awesome. He always has a ton of energy and is always super happy. He just finished his training, so in mission language I-m technically his drunk uncle, or tio boracho. He-s had 3 baptisms and we got a baptism coming up this next Saturday so I-...

Dippin' out of Obrero!

Yoyoyoyoyoyoyoyoy what is up. You read that title right. I am DIPPIN outta here in Obrero as well as the zone finally. I've been in the same district my whole entire mission so I'm pretty excited. I'll be going to an area called Paso de Oro. I've heard it's a pretty poor area. Someone told me that when members call you you need to not answer and call them back so you don't use data on their cellphone plan. So that's pretty lit. I'm going over there with Elder Santana. He's from Brazil, so this will be my 2nd Brazilian comp. I guess the Lord is telling me I need to learn Portuguese...      My time here in Obrero has been AWESOME. The work here is really hard and nobody we talk to wants to be taught, but really have loved the branch. All the members are awesome and we always have lunch every day, which is super nice. I guess we'll see about my next area haha. I've made a ton of friends. I found out the transfers yesterday and I immediately ha...
