My Companion is OLD!

Hey I just met you, and this is crazzyyy, I'm in Paraguuaayy, get baptized maybe.

This week was pretty crazy but not so crazy....AT THE SAME TIME. So it was Elder Santana's birthday (the 29th) and that was fun. He got to talk to his family and we bought pizza and Coke (I know, pretty DARN exciting for a birthday) so that was fun. It's pretty crazy that I can say I'm 18 for only like 2 more weeks. I've spent almost all of my 18 year life in Paraguay, so that's pretty cool. Everyone here still thinks I'm 25....

We talked to BILLIONS of people this week. Pretty much like all of our plans fell through, and our backup plan is always trying to find new people to teach. We have a mission goal to talk to 154 new people every week, and we talked to not 154, but 155. Yeah. So I guess you could say we're the best missionaries in the mission ðŸ˜Ž. We also found a lot of people to teach.

So it's more than likely that my man Elder Santana is gonna dip out in 2 weeks and I'm a little worried. This area is super big and I still have like no idea where I'm going ever ðŸ˜‚. Also there's like little to no lighting in a lot of areas, and if you don't know where you are, it's bad news bears. And nobody wants bad news bears.

WE GOT PERMISSION TO BAPTIZE MONSE WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Our mission president called us last Monday and said she is READY TO GO. So we'll be dunking her this Saturday and I'm suuuuuuper excited. She has an interview with our district leader tomorrow and the baptism will be Saturday, so pray everyone goes well. wooot woot.

I'm reading all of the Book of Mormon for the 2nd time (but this time in Spanish) and I just finished Alma 14. GUYS. The Book of Mormon is so bomb. In Alma 14 there's these 2 missionaries named Alma and Amulek. They went to this city called Ammoninah to go and preach the gospel. BUT, as we all know, the people don't like to hear the truth and hear that they're sinning, so they put Alma and Amulek in jail. They suffered like crazy for several dies. They suffered from hunger, thirst, were beaten several times, and a bunch of other bad stuff. But they kept their FAITH that Heavenly Father would help them, and he DID. God straight up killed EVERYONE in the prison, except Alma and Amulek. Yeah. It's awesome. So I invite you all to work on your pacience and faith. Because if you do, you'll receive muchas bendiciones. Whether that means you gotta be patient with receiving an answer to your prayers, pacient with your family or friends, or being pacient at the line at Taco Bell (Ok I'll stop with the Taco Bell jokes).

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

ELDER ERICHSEN :)

p2 - These are a bunch of people we're teaching, as well as Roberto who we just baptized and his uncle Carlos. They're all awesome. We got pizza in celebration of Elder Santana´s birthday. woot woot.
p3 - This was the day of his birthday. He talked to his family and we got pizza and coke. You can't see the pizza, but it was pretty más or menos.

Heaven help this kid's English, deteriorating right before my eyes. You'd think he was learning Spanish or something.
