It's hot; nothing's happening; life is good!

 ITTTTTTTTTTTTT'SSSSSSSSSSSS SOOOOOOOOO HAAAWWWWWWWWWTTTTTTTTTTTTT.  We were walking around the other day, baptizing the world(as one does) the other day, and I think I almost died it was so hot. We had to go back home and take a 5 minute break to just cool down and eat something. And guess what? It's not even summer here yet! Wooooooooooooooooooo! Oh, but hey guys what's up? Hope your weeks were all good.
     I'm just gonna be straight up and say we got NADA happening here in Villarrica. We haven't had anybody go to church my whole 3 sundays here, but I'm pretty used to it. In my last area we didn't have anyone in church one whole transfer but then we found awesome people and baptized 5 people the next one, so I'm sure if we keep working hard we'll find something one of these days.
     So I guess I kinda lied about having nothing, I guess we have found a few pretty sweet people. The thing is I feel like nobody is really progressing until they go to church. As soon as somebody goes to church, their probability of getting baptized goes up like crazy high. And you obviously have to go to church to get baptized. But everyone here is just too chuchi(fancy in guarani) to go to church, or to even visit us regularly. Like all of the people we visit are only free enough to visit with us weekly, which is hardly anything. But hey, maybe we'll have like 10 baptisms in 6 months. Who knows.
     So if any of you didn't know, I loooooooooove soda. Before the mission, I went to Fizz or Straws like legit every day lol. All of the members have taken note of that and they always give us soda with our lunch everytime and it's so awesome 😂. We buy a 2 liter of coke or guarana like almost every day. I definiltey miss Baja Blast and Dr. Pepper, but the Coke here is pretty good, so I'm perseverando hasta el fin I guess you could say.
     I don't really have any funny stories for this week. Like I guess you could look at my face and that's a pretty funny story, but besides that nothing too much. Sorry.
     GENEREAL CONFERENCE IS THIS SATURDAY AND SUNDAY AND I'M SOOOOOOOO EEEXXXCCIIITTTEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Guys, have you ever though about how freaking COOL it is to have a living prophet??? Russel M. Nelson literally TALKS to our Heavenly Father and gets REVELATION to GUIDE us! I know that at least ONE of the talks will help ya'll if you just take the time to watch it. I'm super excited.
     Also, just something I was thinking throughout this week....is it just me, or is the whole world super lazy??? I'm working hard ALL day in the HEAT, and people who are literally staring off into the distance doing nothing drinking their tereré can't spare TWO minutes to talk to me. Que paso??? Life is good.

Hey Mom! Hahaha I'm so happy my picture with the cat is popular. I thought it was super funny when we took it. We were teaching a menos activo member and he had these little cats jump up on us during the lesson. So we have 'interviews' with President every transfer to make sure everythings good, and we had ours this week and President told me that I'm almost for sure going somewhere this transfer. He didn't know where yet but just told me I was leaving. I personally think it would be super fun to go somewhere super far away like in Zone 9 or something. The farthest area away is called Campo Nueva and I kinda wanna go there haha. But I don't have a huge preference. Also MOM. On my last transfer I am FOR SURE gonna try to make everyone feel trunky!!! Falam Portugues?

Heeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyy everrryybbooddyyy!!!! Voces falam portugues? Está bem! Eu tambem nao. Mas vou seguir aprendendo kkkkkkkkkkk.      So we had transfers and I'm back here with my boy Elder Rodrigues and we're just having a grand ol' time here in the Floresta. I remember my first week here I had to adjust quite a bit. In Villarrica the people are super nice, but here they're a little more frío. So Elder Rodrigues kinda had to go through that same adjustment. But I think he's doing pretty good now.      I'm pretty glad that Elder Rodrigues is here with me. Last transfer my companion didn't drink any soda and only ate out once a week, but now we're back to eating out every day except Sunday and drinking soda for personal study in the morning, so life is good. I honestly have NO idea how I have not gained weight since I've been here. I checked my weight actually a few weeks ago, and I'm still sitting at the same 160 pounds of skin and bone tha...

The Prophet Was Right!

What the heck happened guys??? Last week was super chill, but then all of a sudden BAM I feel like we're in an apocalypse or something. IN JUST ONE WEEK! WHAT THE HECK?      So I'd first like to state that the majority of people here in Paraguay hear about the news about something and that's the ONLY thing they talk about. So if something happens, pretty much EVERYONE tells us about it. Members, non members, everyone. So we'd been aware of the Corona Virus for quite some time. But really I didn't think it was a big deal haha. Then on tuesday night we get this message from our president saying, "Due to the Corona Virus, there will be no church meetings of any kind for 2 weeks. No sacrament meeting. No district councils. NADA." WHATTTT yYOU GOTTA BE KIDDING MEE?? HOW ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO BE A MISSIONARY WITHOUT A CHURCH???
