Three Gringos is Better Than Two

Wow did I just read that right? Is this actually the 61st email I've written? Have I actually been here for SIXTY ONE WEEKS? That's craaaaaaazzzyyyyy. Time flies....ANYWAYSS. WHAAAATTTTTTTT'SSSSS UPPPPP YAAAA''LLLLL how was your week? Good news, IT WASN'T HOT HERE THIS WEEK. It was actually like suuuuuuuper tranquilo. It rained a few days, which was nice. We got a 3rd Elder here in Villarrica and that's been super fun. Nobody still came to church, BUT HEY YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THAT'S CHANGING NEXT WEEK. Overall, just a pretty solid week.
     So we were in a trio this whole week with my main man Elder Sutton. He's great. It was SUUUUUPERRR weird going to houses with 3 missionaries though lol. I would clap and be like "Hooollaa! Somos los misioneros de la Iglesia de Jesucristo! ¿Cuál es su nombre? Mucho gusto, yo soy Elder Erichsen." And then there would just be an awkward pause because Elder Sutton always thought Elder Jensen would talk and viceversa. Pretty funny. Pretty great. Luckily I'll be getting a new companion this Wednesday and we'll be back in 2 companionships, which will be nice.
     I'm like suuuupeerrr excited to train this new guy though. His mind is gonna be BLOWWN when we gets here. I just remember a year ago when I arrived here in Paraguay and it was just like the weirdest feeling. I GET TO WATCH ELDER SMITH EXPERIENCE THAT. It's gonna be great. Luckily he's gonna have an American trainer, so he has it a little easier than me. I got trained by a Bolivian and all I can say was that Elder Guerrero had to have had a LOT of paciencia con migo 😂.
     This week we commited this girl named Fabiana to baptism. She's AWESOME. She's been reading the Book of Mormon almost daily and knows that the church is true. She attended one of the sessions of general conference and we got a baptism date for her for the 2nd of Noviembre. Unfortunately Elder Jensen and Sutton are gonna be taking her, but Elder Smith and I will definitely be there at the church for it. Pray for her. Other than her, there's not really anyone else we're teaching who's progressing. But you just wait. There's gonna be SOOO many baptisms in Noviembre. It's gonna be crazy.
     So yeah, kinda a boring week. Sorry. On a more pop culture note, I heard that there's a Frozen 2? Is that a thing? I guess my new companion will be coming straight from California, so he'll probably know. Let me just tell you, we don't hear ANYYYTTHHINNG out here in Paraguay. The president of the United States could get assassinated and we'd have no idea. Ok, maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but we don't hear too much out here 😂.
     HALLOWEEEN IS COMING UP AND I'M SOOO EXCCIITEEDD. We were totally thinking the other day....What do the missionaries do in the States on Halloween night?  DO YOU THINK THEY GO TRICK OR TREATING? I don't know man, but all I know is that I'm here in Paraguay and they don't celebrate it here :(. But we'll think of something fun to do, don't worry.

Hey guys! So I'm sure you all already know/have heard stuff about missionaries going home and stuff and yup, you read that title right. All Elders from the United States that have 18 or more months in the mission will be released. I currently have 18 months and something days, so I will be in that group. This last week has been crazy. We're closing our houses and everything. My Brazilian companion will be going home tomorrow and be with his family. We still don't know when all the gringos are going home. We've been told that in less than 2 weeks. But wow, this is just craziness. I'm super grateful for the chance I've had to serve and be here in Paraguay. I know that these are some trialing times right now for some people but just follow Christ and all will be good. I know that the church is true. The Book of Mormon is true. If it wasn't, there's NO FREAKING WAY that I would spend almost 19 months of my life telling people it is. I'm pumped for c...

Hey Mom! Hahaha I'm so happy my picture with the cat is popular. I thought it was super funny when we took it. We were teaching a menos activo member and he had these little cats jump up on us during the lesson. So we have 'interviews' with President every transfer to make sure everythings good, and we had ours this week and President told me that I'm almost for sure going somewhere this transfer. He didn't know where yet but just told me I was leaving. I personally think it would be super fun to go somewhere super far away like in Zone 9 or something. The farthest area away is called Campo Nueva and I kinda wanna go there haha. But I don't have a huge preference. Also MOM. On my last transfer I am FOR SURE gonna try to make everyone feel trunky!!! Zone Conference!

Hey hey hey evverryyonee. What's up? Oh me? I'm doing great. I hope you all know that we finished those 14 liters of soda yesterday. And yes, every liter was worth it.      We totally had a zone conference with a General Authority named Elder Villar on Thursday and that was pretty amazing. Like, I definitely realized that the MEMBERS can be even BETTER missionaries than us! Just show the example, invite people to activities, be cool, idk. The church is awesome! Was a great conference.
