Exchanges this week!

What's up MOM,
Allllright, this week was awesome. We had a companionship exchange and I was with Elder Ortega for a day and that was SCARY. I had to know where all of our investigators' homes were haha. That day was quite an adventure. I guess I'll start andswering your billions of questions.

1. I'll attach some pictures. [I asked for pictures of his house and area].

2. The city is a lot like any other city in Utah. We went down to Elder Sapp and Elder Ortega's area for a companionship exchange and their area is legit like New York City almost, just not huge huge buildings haha. Our area has a grocery store much like a Walmart and that's where we get a lot of our food. Bunches of restaraunts and stuff, idk haha.

3. The church is 2 seperate buildings. One is the chapel and it fairly nice. Of course, no place in Paraguay has carpet, so all hard floors. Then there's another building with a bunch of small classrooms. It's definitely a branch, about 50 people attend each week. We got a list of all the members in our area and found out there's 444 members, so a ton of inactives. Also, when it's raining, a lot less people show up. 2 weeks ago, it rained on Sunday and legit only like 30 people were there haha.

4. We teach a loooooot. We usually spend about an hour in each lesson, and that's including visiting and stuff. Everyone is super nice and always wants to talk to us, regardless of their religious backround. Right now we have one investigator preparing for baptism, and we're asking 2 others tomorrow to be baptized. A lot of people say yes to that question, but Elder Guerrero says a lot of the times, people don't prepare to be baptized, so it doesn't actually happen unfortunately. I don't know how to explain how big our area is, but it's not super big. If you walked from one corner to the other it'd probably take about 45 minutes or an hour.

5. P day we wake up, plan, study, and then we have 10 hours to do pretty much whatever we want as long as it's not against the rules. Me and Elder Guerrero clean the house for an hour, then go buy food we need for the week, then we email for an hour each. Then we get lunch, and then the next 6 hours kinda change every week. 2 weeks ago we played soccer with the other Elders in our district. Most districts have 3 companionships and we see them every week cuz we have district meetings every week. Last P day and this P day we just kinda hung out and took naps hahaha. I'm pretty sure there's no washing machines in Paraguay lol. We have a sister in the ward who does our laundry and she's awesome. It costs 25,000 Guarani, which is like 5 or 6 bucks. The same sister is making a scripture case for me right now, and I'm pumped for that.

6. Every week in district meeting, and when we visit the mission offices, which I guess is like every month. [I asked how often he sees other missionaries besides his companion.]

7. Mom, they have to be 2 of the nicest people I've ever met. They're so nice and friendly. They constantly are making sure we're doing well and DRINKING CLEAN WATER AND NOT GETTING DENGAE. [I asked him about President and Sister Hansen.]

I hope that answers everything, thanks so much Mom, love you so much.

Hola mis Lechugas,
This week felt like it flew by!
Nothing crazy happend this week. More or less just more lessons with people. 3 days ago we did a companionship exchange with Elder Ortega and Elder Sapp and WOW was that crazy guys. I had to guide Elder Ortega to all of our investigators' houses, and I have no idea where any of them live lol.
Some of you guys may be wondering how I'm surviving here with now Mountain Dew, so I'd like to explain that. One of the the best drinks I've found here is the JUICE. Guys, the juice is so good. It's like, not watered down at all and not a bunch of added sugar, it's just the purest of purest pure juice. Then also there's this Fanta drink with a GuaranĂ¡ flavor. That is SO good. Unfortunately, they don't have a Taco Bell down here, so I have been missing that.
Yeah, I don't have a ton more to say, and I know people usually don't like reading long emails, so guess I'll just end by saying how awesome it is to be here. I definitely miss all of my friends every day, but I know it's all worth it. Thanks everyone, love you all.

This is an investigator they are teaching!

Heaven help this kid's English, deteriorating right before my eyes. You'd think he was learning Spanish or something.
