"I don't think you quite understand, Mom. Haha."

Hey Mom! I don't think you quite understand Mom haha. When it rains here, it RAINS. And people's houses struggle, let alone their clothes lol. Most people walk to church and a lot of people don't have a car so, that's why. Also I wear the boots every day to everything. The only time I wear the dress shoes is to church and during zone conferences. My goal is to be able to wear the dress shoes after the mission haha. Not a ton has happened this week. We mostly contacted less active members and are trying to reactivate them as well as baptize their families who aren't already members. There's a lot of them! Everyone is starting to put up Christmas trees and decorations, so that's exciting. It's also super funny because a lot of people here play Christmas music on their speakers and they play a lot of music in English, and they have no idea what it's saying haha. The Spanish is definitely coming along. It's still really har...

Elder Gong Visits Paraguay

HEEEY MOM, So a lot of stuff happend this week, and I don't have a toooon of time to email, so I'm probably gonna put most of the stuff in the group email if that's ok haha. I'm super sad they don't celebrate Thanksgiving here ;(. I'm also a little sad because it's the first big holiday I don't get to be home for. But it's all good! It raineed like crrraaazzzyyyy yesterday and like 3 days ago and it was beautiful. It sucked yesterday though because there was literally no one at church. I counted 20 people. TWENTY. Fortunately, we got Margarita to go. Oh yeah, we totally had her baptism on Saturday, and it was amazing. Then she got the gift of the HOly Ghost yesterday and that was awesome. It's so crazy seeing people develop such strong testimonies so fast. Elder Gong was AMAZING. I don't know if it's just because I've met them now, but Elder Gong and Elder Stevenson are my favorite apos...

HEAT!

What's up Mom, This week has been HOT. I never really know the temperature because it's all in Celcius, but it's felt like 95-100 all week and with crazy humidity. It didn't rain ONE day this week. I know. Ridiculous. But this week has been good. I feel like I'm at a point where I can understand almost everything people say if I focus really hard. But if they start speaking any Guarani, I can't understand anything hahaha. Margarita is doing great! She's only 14 years old so we need a signature from one of her parents and we've been waiting all week for her mom to be home because she never is and SHE WAS HOME YESTERDAY. So she's all set to be baptized this Saturday. All that is left is the interview with the District Leader, but I'm sure she'll pass that just fine. There's always a chance she doesn't, but I have a lot of faith she will, so I'm excited for Saturday. Oh my goodness, that day with Elder Sapp ...

Double Digits: Week 10

Whatsup guys, This week was fantastic week, just like any other. It's starting to get crazy hot and it's also crazy humid, so that's fun. I don't know what it is in Celsius, but it definitely feels like about 90 degrees lately, and I heard it only gets hotter in December and January. I'm sure it's starting to get colder in the States and I'm jealous haha. This week we got a list of all the members in our ward and found out there's 444, and every Sunday there's only about 40-50 people, so a lot if inactives! So we're trying to reactivate, as well has find children that haven't been baptized yet. It's super hard to find people's houses here because none of the houses have numbers. All we have are street names and often you can't even find those haha. So just a lot of walking and sweating. Usually I email my mom before this group email, and I forgot I haven't shared a lot of the weird and different things...
