Tranquilo!

Hey guys!!

So woot woot I actually have time to write and put pictures in now! This week was definitely a lot more relaxing than the last one haha.

So first of all, all of the members here are AWESOME! We have lunches every day and a lot of time people want to give us dinner too haha. There's a bunch of members that love taking pictures of me and my companion and then they send them to my mom and I KNOW she loves that. A lot of them also give us referrals a lot so we always have a lot of people to visit which is always good.

Right now we have one investigator with a baptism date and his name is Ezequiel. He's 12 and he's awesome. He went to church yesterday and really wants to get baptized. I guess the missionaries in Obrero have already taught him all of the lessons, the only hard part is getting a signature from his dad. I guess his dad is SUPER Catholic and doesn't want nada from us. PERO, we talked to our mission leader in the branch and apparently he knows Ezequiel's dad, so he's gonna talk to him and I think we'll get a signature and have a baptism! I guess Obrero hasn't had a convert baptism in like 7 months so we're definitely gonna change that.

Me and Elder Gomes are getting along juuuuuusttt fine. It's super goofy because he's from Brazil and is still learning Spanish, so a lot of times he'll be speaking some Portugese words that I don't know and I won't really understand him and it takes a while but it's ALL GOOD. He really wants to learn English so we've actually been speaking a ton of English lately and it's super fun. I've met a ton of people here in Obrero that speak English and it has been super fun talking to them.

It's been super hard to find new people for us lately because it has been SO hot and SO humid lately, but we're out here perseverando hasta el fin. I hit 6 months in 3 days which is completely crazy. The time has gone by soooooo slow but at the same time soooo fast. It's hard to explain. But I'll be burning a tie (obviously) so look out for that picture next week.

I also got a new camera so woot woot for pictures again. It's almost the same as my old one.

Spiritual note - I'm reading the BoM in Spanish right now and it's AWESOME. I just read 2 Nephi 4 a few days ago and it's now one of my favorite, if not MY favorite chapter. It talks a lot about repentance and sinning and overcoming that. I would highly recommend reading it (maybe not in Spanish, but).

But that's all I got for this week. Have a ton of pictures this week so yay. But hope you all have a great week! Church is true! Keep the Commandments! Chao.

Heaven help this kid's English, deteriorating right before my eyes. You'd think he was learning Spanish or something.
