Four Gringos is Even Better

Image
Hooooooooowwwwwwwwwsssssss iiittt ggoooinnnnggggg eevverrryyonnee??????????????? ????????????      THIS week was pretty LOONG to say the least  . I don't know why, but I felt like this whole week was longer than all of last transfer. We divided the people that me and Elder Jensen were teaching in half, but all of the people that Elder Smith and I picked all disappeared. So we're basically starting from scratch again. Life is pretty great. But hey, we're gonna commit like 100 people to baptism this week, so watch out for my next email.      So first of all, I had to take a bus to go to Asuncion to go get Elder Smith. That was WEEIIRRDD. I took a 4 hour bus ride along with a 30 minute taxi ride....ALONE. I haven't spent that much time with myself since I've been on the mission. So that was whack. Got Elder Smith from the office and the next day I took another 4 hour bus and we got home. He's super cool. He's knows a LOT of spani...

Three Gringos is Better Than Two

Wow did I just read that right? Is this actually the  61st  email I've written? Have I actually been here for SIXTY ONE WEEKS? That's craaaaaaazzzyyyyy. Time flies....ANYWAYSS. WHAAAATTTTTTTT'SSSSS UPPPPP YAAAA''LLLLL how was your week? Good news, IT WASN'T HOT HERE THIS WEEK. It was actually like suuuuuuuper tranquilo. It rained a few days, which was nice. We got a 3rd Elder here in Villarrica and that's been super fun. Nobody still came to church, BUT HEY YOU ALREADY KNOW THAT THAT'S CHANGING NEXT WEEK. Overall, just a pretty solid week.      So we were in a trio this whole week with my main man Elder Sutton. He's great. It was SUUUUUPERRR weird going to houses with 3 missionaries though lol. I would clap and be like "Hooollaa! Somos los misioneros de la Iglesia de Jesucristo! ¿Cuál es su nombre? Mucho gusto, yo soy Elder Erichsen." And then there would just be an awkward pause because Elder Sutton always thought Elder Jensen would tal...

It's HOT; Trio; and I'm training again!

Helllloooo everybody. I'm pretty sure I've mentioned this before but WOOOOWW it's SOOO HOOOOTTT HEEEREEE. It was hot every SINGLE DAY THIS WEEK. It was about 100 degrees Farenheit every day. So I guess you could say this week was pretty good.      Just being real here, this week was really challenging. All of the people we were teaching that were progressing cancelled all of their appointments this week, we had the lowest church attendance in the transfer, and I only drank 6 two liters of coke instead of the usual 7. We're definitely learning about sitting down and being humble. But despite all of the challenges, this week was pretty great. We definitely worked harder this week than any other this transfer, and we're gonna keep working harder each one.      One thing I've definitely learned from the mission is how AWESOME life is. Ya know, you don't realized how awesome life is until you got out on a mission for 2 years and you're not allowed ...

Conference, Empanada Day, We're Beautiful

Wowowowowowowo did ya'll watch conference? WOWOWOWOWO!!!!!!!! If any of you didn't, I'll sum it all up real fast. Young Men leaders are goneso, young womens is super changed, temple recommend interview questions changed, 8 temples announced, little 8 year old girls can now be witnesses at baptisms, and oh my goodness so many other amazing things. But guess what? It's still the Church of Jesus Christ, and it's the only true church on Earth. All of these changes were made to help us come closer to Christ and it's awesome. I kinda like to think of it as Minecraft. You play Minecraft and it's awesome, but maybe you stop playing for like 2 or 3 years. It gets updated a bunch and you go back and  everything  is different. But, it's still Minecraft. That's basically the Church. There's been so many changes and stuff, but it's STILL the Church of Jesus Christ, the church he established almost 2000 years ago. Isn't it awesome?      I could talk...
